Pentre Riding Stables is located directly opposite Craig-y-Nos Castle, within easy walking distance of Craig-y-Nos Country Park. Both locations are free to access, though there is a car-parking fee at the country park.

Craig-y-Nos Castle was built by a local industrial magnate, but its most famous occupant was the late nineteenth century Adelina Patti. She had her own theatre built within the castle, and guided tours can sometimes be arranged to take this in.

Craig-y-Nos Country Park is owned by the Brecon Beacons National Park authority, but still retains Adelina Patti's summer-house within its grounds. A beautiful walk in the woods can be had, and the meadows are ideal for exercising dogs.
