Pentre Riding Stables is a long established equestrian business, having been a Riding School and Trekking Centre for many years.

The Stables Proprietor, Karen Williams, has spent a life time around horses.

As well as offering Riding Instruction, Trekking and Livery services (please see menu on left), Karen specialises in training competition Showjumpers. She has also successfully shown one of the Pentre Arab Stallions, in hand, at shows throughout Europe.

Pentre has 2 all-weather outdoor schools for riding instruction, jumping and flatwork. You do not need to be staying with us to book for riding activities. If you have a particular query or requirement, please contact us or see our Prices & Ride Times page.
Pentre is also an official Pony Club Centre and specialises in helping children to learn about, appreciate and enjoy ponies, either by taking part in regular Own A Pony days, or by coming on one of our very popular Riding Holidays for Children.
We take good care of our horses and ponies to ensure that they are contented, well mannered, and suitable for both less experienced and accomplished riders. During your time with us we will be pleased to teach basic riding skills where required.

Whether you book with us for just an hour, or for an entire holiday, we have the knowledge and experience to assure you of a great time in the saddle at Pentre!

Health & Safety Notes:
- As the riding abilities of all our vistors will vary, all riding activities begin with an assessment, allocation of a horse most suited to your level of experience and, if required, training in basic riding skills.
- We offer riding for children of 4 years old upwards
- All Riding Hats used must be to current British Safety Standards. These can be loaned, free of charge, at Pentre and must be worn during all horse related activities
- Suitable footwear must be worn around the horses, and when riding. We require that you wear shoes or boots with a smooth sole and a low but substantial heel
- Long trousers / jodhpurs and long-sleeved tops (very hot weather permitting!) should also be worn during all horse related activities
- For your safety, jewellry must not be worn (wedding rings etc may be taped)
Riding, like most sports, carries an element of risk. We pay particular attention to the safety of our clients and insist on them observing the basic codes of good practice and behaviour. Pentre Riding Stables reserve the right to refuse bookings or to terminate rides when conditions or other circumstances may be deemed prejudicial to the safety of its clients.
