A couple of miles up the road from Pentre are the world famous National Showcaves of Wales, a system of underground caverns which are open to the general public and contain fascinating geological features. An unusual local attraction is the Dinosaur Park, a part of the National Showcave Complex, which sets full sized replicas of these giant beasts on a wooded Welsh hillside!
