Children's Riding Holidays

Pentre is an approved Pony Club Centre and runs regular activities for children of all ages. Our comprehensive childrens riding holiday package, includes everything they need for a fun and educational trip that will create memories to last a lifetime.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in shared family rooms (not bunkhouse), adjoining the farm-house, under close supervision and on a full board basis.

Pony

A suitable pony, allocated for the holiday period, based on an initial assessment of the child's experience and ability

Daily Riding Activities:

• Trekking
• Lessons
• Gymkhana Games
• Jumping (depending on riders' ability)

Stable Management lessons:

• Working around horses in stables
• Mucking out
• Safety and Cleaning of Tack & Equipment
• Health & Safety around the Yard

Horse Care / Safety lessons:

• Ground work with horses
• Catching
• Leading
• Grooming
• Feed and water
• Basic first aid
• Horse Health

Parents are very welcome to visit Pentre before deciding to book. Parents will need to sign the Rider Registration Form, and the Health and Safety Agreement, giving permission for the activities, and that they will ensure that their child always wears a riding hat whilst on the stable yard, and only crosses the main road after asking specific permission.

Holiday from Mon - Fri £200 per person - inclusive of all meals and riding (some pocket money is recommended).
